Action Step Tips
Question: How do you eat an elephant?
Answer: One bite at a time.
How do you accomplish big dreams and goals? One Action Step at a time. By breaking your dreams and goals into "bite-size" steps you won't be overwhelmed at the sometimes monumental task of achieving your dream (or goal). Big dreams and goals require a tremendous amount of faith and belief that you can achieve them but they also require a tremendous amount of effort and this effort begins with completing individual steps (or tasks).
Do you w ant to be a successful business owner? It starts with a small step of setting aside some time to create a business plan and then being persistent in following the steps outlined in the plan. Here's a hint to help you plan your Action Steps...keep them simple and concise. Don't make the easy things complicated and don't make them too vague.
Example:
Dream: To become a professional public speaker
Purpose: I want to become a public speaker to motivate others to get more out of life than they are currently.
Example Goal: Take Speech class at a local university by Jan. 1, 2005
Example Action Steps:
- Register for class
- Buy books for class
- Schedule classes in my Day Planner
