What is your name and title? My name is Jeb Blount and I’m the, CEO of SalesGravy.com and Sales Gravy Press. I am also a partner in the consultancy Sales Marriage
What does your company do?
SalesGravy.com is web portal for all things sales. We have a Career Center, Resource Center, and an international networking community of Sales Professionals. Sales Gravy Press is an independent publishing house focused exclusively on sales related books and audio books.
Tell us a little about your background:
I’m considered one of the leading experts in sales and sales leadership, I’m the author of PowerPrinciples, and have over 20 years experience in sales and marketing. Most recently, as Vice President of Sales for an $11 billion, Fortune 500 company, I created a rich tradition of performance excellence. I also became the only Sales and Marketing leader in the history of the organization to win the coveted President’s Award. As a business leader I have extensive experience turning around and righting troubled organizations. I have a passion for growing people and the unique ability to see potential in everyone. Over the span of my career I have coached, trained, and developed thousands of Sales Professionals, managers and leaders. I hold a core philosophy that in every endeavor there are a handful of key principles, the basics, which, if focused on intently, will drive peak performance and achievement. I seek to remove complexity from inherent business challenges, and instead, focus individuals, leaders and organizations on core actions, which, in their specific environment, deliver quick and sustainable results. I once set the all time record for the most sales in a single year for a Fortune 500 company. That record held for 10 years.
I currently produce the #1 ranked sales podcast in the world.
My book PowerPrinciples has been on the business management best seller list for 28 weeks.
How I got to where I am today?
I’ve been selling or teaching selling my entire life. I believe my purpose in life is to serve the sales community. So I have followed my bliss.
